The Salvation Army Dangers of Drugs Whether you're a teenager considering experimenting with drugs; a drug user; a concerned friend and citizen; or a worried parent, it's vital for us all, to be informed about the negative health effects of illicit drugs and alcohol. But be warned: this information is unashamedly one-sided. Unlike a lot of the information available to young people today, the Salvation Army's booklet 'Dangers of Drugs' does not seek to give "both sides" of the story about drugs, because the experience of Salvation Army workers at the coalface, is that there is no positive side to illicit drug use and alcohol abuse. The Salvation Army makes no apologies for telling you about the dangers of drugs only. There are plenty of people to sell you the lie about what a great experience you'll have. We'd rather inform you about the long-term negative effects on that most precious organ, your brain, as well as almost every other part of your body. Click here to download the Dangers of Drugs booklet, and read on if you're game! Be sure to check out our healthy lifestyle page of the booklet, because there is a positive side to the story. The up-side, is that our amazing bodies, and this wonderful world we live in, have been awesomely created to give us plenty of natural highs… |
