Job Solve History Job Solve was initially established in 1993 as part of the ACT Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Job Solve's one-room operation was located in the Chamber offices in Kembla St. Fyshwick. Its primary role at that time was to provide additional support to clients attached to the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service (CRS). Over time, that role widened, and Job Solve began to provide services to the general community.
Job Solve moved to new premises in Townsville St. Fyshwick, and at that time supported approximately 50 job seekers and workers. Job Solve now operates from offices in Wollongong St. Fyshwick, and currently supports over 110 job seekers and workers. Job Solve clients have varying types of disabilities, including intellectual disability, learning disability, sensory disability, physical disability and acquired brain injury. Job Solve's staff members have experience and skills in many different areas. The Mission of Job Solve (1) To find employment for people with a disability, and support them in maintaining a job. (2) To create opportunities for people to reach their full potential… by focussing on their abilities, and broadening their life experiences through work. (3) To enrich the community by closing the gap between ability and disability. (4) To exceed community expectations. (5) To deliver superior performance to contract partners.
