If you, or someone you know, have been looking for an opportunity to volunteer in your local community, why not consider Kids' Companions A Marymead Host Family Program. Kids' Companions matches up volunteers from the community with children affected by a disability. Your friendship can help give them a connection to the community, as well as some relief time for their family. You can participate one-on-one with a child, or in a group setting. The times are very flexible (from an hour to a weekend) and can fit any schedule! We need all kinds of Companions for all kinds of children… We are seeking more Companions, as we have over 20 children on our waiting list, looking to make a new friend. If you have been thinking about volunteering and giving back to your community, and if you are willing to share some social activities with a child, then this is an opportunity to think about!
